Parties and acceptance
The agreement will identify the legal operator of InspectRenew and the subscribing business in the accepted order. An authorized representative must affirmatively accept the Terms and DPA; the accepted version and date must be retained. The service is for business users aged 18 or older. The DPA controls conflicting terms about Customer Personal Data.
Software and professional responsibility
InspectRenew provides inspection recordkeeping, report generation, QR verification, and renewal follow-up software. We are not an authority having jurisdiction (AHJ), inspection company, licensing authority, or emergency service. We do not certify inspections, NFPA compliance, building safety, or acceptance by an AHJ. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by NFPA.
Your business and qualified personnel remain responsible for the work, licenses, findings, adopted code edition, intervals, physical service tags, record retention, and required filings. Review suggested dates and checklists. A report records your technician’s findings; a QR label does not replace a legally required service tag.
Accounts and acceptable use
Protect credentials and limit access to authorized personnel. Do not fabricate inspections or signatures, impersonate license holders, bypass access controls, upload malicious files, infringe others’ rights, or send unlawful messages. Report suspected unauthorized access promptly. Your responsibilities do not relieve us of our own obligations.
Subscriptions and automatic renewal
The 14-day trial requires no card and does not automatically become a paid subscription. A paid plan requires an explicit purchase. Starter is USD 79 monthly or USD 790 annually for up to two technicians; Pro is USD 129 monthly or USD 1,290 annually for up to five. The checkout order controls price, taxes, interval, and first charge date; annual fees are billed upfront.
A paid subscription renews automatically for the same interval until canceled. Before purchase, the order must show the recurring amount, applicable taxes or calculation method, renewal interval, and cancellation method. Renewal charges use the disclosed payment method.
Cancellation, refunds, and price changes
Turn off renewal through Billing → Manage subscription → Cancel subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period and prevents the next renewal; access continues until then. If the portal is unavailable, contact support before renewal to record your request.
The proposed service policy is to confirm cancellation and the last access date, refund verified duplicate or erroneous charges, and refund unused prepaid time if we discontinue the service without your material breach. Otherwise, unused time is not refunded unless law or an order requires it. Mandatory remedies remain available.
The proposed notice period for a price increase or materially adverse renewal change is at least 30 days, with a cancellation link. Longer legally required notices or renewed consent take precedence. Immediate upgrade charges require disclosure and acceptance. These procedures require operational approval before paid launch.
Records, signatures, and public verification
You retain rights in Customer Data. You authorize processing to provide and protect the service, follow lawful instructions, and meet applicable legal duties under the DPA. This does not authorize selling inspection records or training general-purpose AI models on them.
A drawn signature records the signer’s stated act; it does not independently verify identity, license status, or inspection accuracy. A SHA-256 digest supports file comparison, not a trusted timestamp, PKI signature, or official approval. A redacted public copy has its own digest and is not the full private original.
Anyone with a verification link can access published fields. Review site names, equipment locations, and deficiencies before sharing. Retain the original report independently. Local drafts require synchronization before they become completed server records.
Messaging and appointments
Your shop must be identified to recipients and have lawful, sender-specific permission. Do not use purchased lists or infer SMS permission from a customer relationship, inspection signature, or possession of a number. Proof may be required and messaging disabled when permission is missing.
Do not remove required sender identity, address, or unsubscribe information. Reminder dates and delivery can fail; maintain an independent process for safety-critical deadlines. A booking request is not a confirmed appointment or payment. InspectRenew does not currently collect inspection payments for your shop.
Security, retention, and termination
The DPA describes security, return, deletion, and permitted retention. Keep independent copies of required records. The agreed export opportunity precedes routine deletion, but an active security threat may require immediate suspension. Deactivation in the interface is not proof that backups or legally retained records have been erased.
Access may be suspended proportionately for misuse, security threats, or nonpayment, with notice and an opportunity to cure when practicable. Termination requires canceling billing and requesting account closure; it does not waive accrued payment duties, mandatory rights, or agreed data-return duties.
Proposed warranties and liability provisions
The proposal is to provide the service with reasonable care. Subject to express promises and nonwaivable law, the service is provided as is, without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or noninfringement. Availability, message delivery, recovered revenue, AHJ acceptance, and compliance of your work are not guaranteed.
The draft proposes excluding indirect, consequential, special, and punitive damages and lost profits, with aggregate liability capped at fees paid or payable in the prior 12 months. For confidentiality, data-protection, or security breaches, the proposed cap is the greater of twice that amount or USD 25,000. These amounts remain subject to legal and insurance review and are not an executed limitation.
Proposed exclusions do not cover fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, unpaid fees, or liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including personal injury or death where exclusion is prohibited. Independent duties to individuals or authorities remain in force.
Disputes and changes
Contact support to seek an informal resolution. Governing law and forum remain pending confirmation of the operator and legal review; no jurisdiction, arbitration agreement, or class-action waiver is selected here.
Material changes require advance notice and renewed acceptance where required. Changes do not retroactively reduce accrued rights or expand permitted use of Customer Personal Data. If a clause is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent permitted by law.
