Direct answers

Fire extinguisher inspection software, answered

What does fire extinguisher inspection software do?

It replaces paper forms and spreadsheets with one record per extinguisher: location, type, findings, photos, and the customer signature. InspectRenew turns each visit into a PDF report and a QR verification record, then schedules renewal reminders from the recorded due date.

Is there a fire extinguisher inspection app?

Yes. The InspectRenew web app runs in the phone browser today, with local drafts when the signal drops. Native iPhone and Android apps are coming soon and are not in the app stores yet.

How much does extinguisher inspection software cost?

InspectRenew Starter is $79/month for up to 2 technicians and Pro is $129/month for up to 5, with unlimited equipment and a 14-day trial without a credit card. Enterprise fire suites are usually quoted after a demo.

Does it file reports with the AHJ or The Compliance Engine?

No. InspectRenew does not integrate with TCE or file with an AHJ. Where your AHJ accepts a PDF, you can submit the report yourself; check the state guides for local rules.

NFPA 10 field workflow

Keep each unit connected to its service history.

Record the equipment identity, location, inspection findings, photos, and customer signature. Review maintenance and hydrostatic history separately: the correct interval depends on the extinguisher type and applicable requirements.

Fire equipment tracking

Know where every extinguisher is and when it is due.

Each site keeps its equipment list with locations and due dates, so the next visit starts from last year’s record instead of a blank form. Unlimited equipment on both plans; no per-unit fee.

Each unit can carry a QR label that opens its public verification record. The QR label supplements the required physical service tag; it does not replace it.

Fire inspection reporting

A PDF report before you leave the parking lot.

Finish the visit and generate a server-side PDF with the findings, photos, and captured signature. The report carries your company name and logo, and a SHA-256 fingerprint makes later changes to the file detectable.

Questions & answers

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers on pricing, offline inspections, QR labels, and third-party compliance portals. Need more detail? Check the full FAQ or contact our team.

Does InspectRenew calculate 6-year maintenance and 12-year hydrostatic dates?

No automatic rule is applied to every unit. The technician records the due date that fits the extinguisher type, history, and applicable requirements, and the reminders follow that recorded date.

Can I use it for monthly inspections done by the building owner?

InspectRenew is built for the service company’s visits and records. Monthly visual checks by the owner’s staff stay in the owner’s own log unless your team records them.

Do I need barcode scanners or special hardware?

No. A phone or tablet with a browser is enough. QR labels for the equipment can be printed in batches.

Can the building owner check an inspection later?

Yes. Scanning the QR opens a public verification page with the fields approved for public access, such as the service date and status, without logging in.
